Bio

Working from a library of observational notebooks and site sketches, Gabriel Liston paints pictures of children in the West. Most titles are stolen captions from any of several books destroyed by his studio practice.
Liston was raised in Western Colorado, and received an undergraduate degree from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon in 1998. He continues to live and work in this city where he has children and the children have animals.
Lastwater was source of good drinking water, now condemned.
